SMX International makes UK appointment
SMX International, the global pipe connector and flow control products company, has appointed Bernie Newmarch as UK representative.
SMX International (formerly Securamax, originally incorporated in Canada more than 30 years ago), offers high integrity pipe connectors, forged fittings and flow control products for critical applications. The company recently re-launched itself as SMX International, with a number of key new international appointments as part of an extensive global growth programme.
Bernie has considerable experience and an in-depth knowledge of all aspects of the piping and connection sector, in which he has worked for some 30 years. He joins SMX having successfully represented a number of European and international companies manufacturing valves and associated piping equipment, winning many significant contracts with both engineering contractors and end users.
As UK representative with SMX, Bernie’s role involves day to day contact with the customer base, presenting the SMX offering both technically and commercially. He will be drawing on his extensive experience and contacts in the industry to introduce the SMX products and significant engineering expertise to UK operators and contractors, primarily in the oil and gas sector including offshore, refining and petrochemical, as well as chemical and other process industries.
“The SMX products and expertise have real benefits and value to offer, but until now have been known primarily in Canada and North America,” Bernie comments. “Now, with the company’s global expansion, there are opportunities to introduce operators in this country to the product range, and to the company’s ability to engineer solutions to meet customer needs.
